Our client, an international mining conglomerate, is looking for a hands-on, high-energy go-getter to support their tight-knit Head Office team in Johannesburg North. Small office, but big impact and global exposure.

POSITION INFO:
This isn’t your typical admin role and it’s definitely not just finance either. You’ll sit at the intersection of operations, finance and executive support, keeping the Head Office running like a well-oiled mining machine. With a lean staff component, every person counts and this role is critical. From supporting the finance team with bookkeeping to managing executive diaries, coordinating board visits and ensuring the office runs smoothly daily, you’ll be the glue that holds it all together. Perfect for someone early in their finance career looking for exposure, or an experienced office professional who enjoys variety, responsibility and being at the centre of the action.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process invoices, payments and expense claims
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable
• Perform bank reconciliations and petty cash control
• Capture and maintain accurate financial records
• Support payroll and monthly reporting processes
• Follow up on outstanding accounts and customer queries
• Manage filing systems, contracts and company documentation
• Coordinate office supplies, meetings and administrative support
• Prepare reports, spreadsheets and general correspondence
• Liaise with suppliers, clients and internal stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls
• Provide general finance and office support as needed

• BCom Degree in Accounting / Finance (completed or in-progress) - Seeking finance exposure and growth within a corporate environment 
• OR a relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting / Business Administration with 5+ years’ experience in office management / Executive Assistant roles
• Exposure to finance and bookkeeping duties
• Strong MS Excel skills
• Highly organised, proactive and detail-oriented
• Professional communication skills and confident stakeholder interaction
• Comfortable working in a small, high-accountability Head Office environment
