A well‑established organization, operating in a fast‑moving services and logistics environment, is seeking an Accounts Payable and Cashbook Administrator to join its finance team. Based in Johannesburg North, this role supports a high‑volume transaction environment and requires someone who is detail‑driven, organised, and comfortable working under pressure.

The role operates on a hybrid working model, offering flexibility while maintaining strong collaboration and accountability within the finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update the cashbook, ensuring accurate and timely recording of all transactions
• Perform bank reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies
• Process and prepare EFT and ad hoc payments for authorisation
• Capture and post supplier invoices and credit notes, ensuring correct coding and VAT treatment
• Match invoices to purchase orders, delivery notes, and GRNs
• Reconcile supplier statements and manage aged creditors
• Open and maintain supplier accounts in line with internal policies
• Manage stakeholder and supplier queries efficiently via phone and email
• Assist with month‑end processing, journals, and reporting
• Support audit processes by preparing documentation and responding to queries

• Matric (Grade 12) essential
• Diploma or Degree in Accounting / Finance advantageous
• 3–5 years’ experience in a high‑volume accounts payable and cashbook role
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel
• Experience using MS Dynamics Business Central 365 and/or Sage 300 (Accpac)
• Solid understanding of VAT legislation
• Ability to work confidently in a matrix organization
• Strong time management, attention to detail, and deadline‑driven work style
