Accounts Administrator, East London

SUMMARY:

An established vehicle dealership in East London is seeking a hardworking, organized and methodical Accounts Administrator to join their finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the full account's function and ensuring accurate, timeous financial processing.

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to strictly meet the following criteria:
 

• Grade 12 minimum with 3–5 years’ experience in an accounting or finance administration role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and processes
• Experience working on accounting software plus MS Excel (essential)
• Attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Time management and ability to work under pressure
• Team player with ability to work in an open-plan office environment
• Reliable, professional and dependable

• Processing debtors and creditors transactions
• Performing account reconciliations (debtors, creditors and general ledger)
• Processing journals accurately and timeously
• Managing petty cash, banking and daily receipting
• Loading EFT payments and managing online banking functions
• Handling account queries and resolving discrepancies
• Supporting inter-department, inter-branch communication and follow-ups
• Assisting with stock counts and related administration
• General office administration duties
• Providing switchboard relief for approximately one hour once a week
• Ensuring accurate filing and maintenance of all financial records
