POSITION INFO:

Role Overview:
We are seeking a Municipal Administrator to manage council billing, reporting, and risk management for utilities including water, electricity, sewer, effluent, refuse, gas, backup electricity, and alternative energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage relationships with landlords, service providers, and tenants to optimize utility output
• Source municipal accounts and assist with new account setup and tenant/council queries
• Perform utility accounting, reporting, and risk management
• Vet and approve municipal bills, check tariffs, and ensure accurate recoveries
• Conduct energy assessments and ensure buildings are on optimal rates
• Support compliance with relevant Acts, bylaws, and internal risk management processes

Requirements:

• Property industry and municipal accounts experience
• Creditors/accounts reconciliation and payment experience
• Intermediate Excel skills; Pastel/SAGE ERP 300 advantageous
• Valid driver’s licence
• Experience handling council queries advantageous
