SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled Yard Supervisor to join our clients team in Gauteng. This role will oversee and coordinate all vehicle movements within a busy logistics hub. This role is critical in ensuring operational efficiency, enforcing strict safety protocols, and maintaining accurate digital records to support highâvolume throughput.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Minimise truck turnaround time and ensure adherence to loading/offloading schedules
Direct and control vehicle movements in and out of the yard, including staging and parking zones
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and yard organisation
Ensure vehicles are prepared and trailers inspected according to SOP before loading
Liaise with drivers, operations teams, and management to resolve issues quickly
Manage weighbridge procedures, gate systems, and accurate documentation of vehicle movements
Enforce safety rules and conduct daily inspections, ensuring compliance with SOPs
Lead and coach the yard team, encouraging continuous improvement and adherence to processes

Requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric); further studies in Transport/Logistics advantageous
Minimum 5 years’ leadership experience in a warehousing/logistics environment
Proven team management and Health & Safety programme experience
Computer literacy (MS Office, Google Workspace)
Valid driver’s licence
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problemâsolving skills
Ability to work under pressure in a fastâpaced, outdoor environment
