Warehouse Supervisor

SUMMARY:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and compliant operation of the warehouse. This includes managing inventory accuracy, processing orders, coordinating deliveries, and overseeing subcontractor activities. The role focuses on maintaining a 95% stock fill rate, minimizing losses,
and upholding OHSA and company standards. By leading the warehouse team, controlling costs, and
optimizing resources, the supervisor plays a key role in aligning warehouse performance with overall business
objectives.

POSITION INFO:
Daily Operations
Manage warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch.
Ensure materials and finished goods are received, labelled, wrapped, and dispatched accurately.
Supervise staff, assign daily tasks, and resolve operational issues to improve workflow efficiency.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.
Inventory & Stock Control
Implement best practices for inventory management and stock accuracy.
Conduct daily/weekly counts, cycle counts, and variance investigations.
Maintain accurate inventory master file records and ensure timely stock-takes.
Achieve and sustain a minimum 95% stock availability and fill rate.
Manage spare orders, outstanding orders, and monthly spares activity reports.
Reduce spares older than 9 months by 3% annually.
Ensure correct bin allocations and manage bin changes/movements promptly.
Cost & Resource Management
Oversee labour costs, staffing levels, and productivity.
Analyse labour utilization and implement strategies to optimize workforce efficiency.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure full compliance with OHSA and company safety regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
Address hazards promptly and enforce safety policies and procedures.
Ensure equipment is utilized safely and in accordance with regulations.
Protect company assets by securing property and enforcing operational procedures


Leadership & People Development
Lead, train, and mentor warehouse staff to ensure accountability and high performance.
Provide ongoing coaching and training for new and existing staff.
Conduct performance appraisals, reviews, and provide constructive feedback.
Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Key Competencies:
Fluent in English
SageX3 experience is beneficial
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven experience in warehousing supervision

Computer Literacy (MS Word, Excel, etc.) is essential.
