SUMMARY:
Responsible for the day-to-day warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, issuing and moving stock and materials, while supporting production and logistics requirements.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Receive, check, label and correctly store stock, parts, materials and consumables.
Maintain accurate stock records and capture stock movements on the ERP system.
Issue materials to Production and ensure timely supply of required parts.
Conduct stock counts, cycle counts and assist with stock reconciliations.
Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
Maintain 5S, housekeeping and warehouse safety standards.
Operate forklift, pallet jack and reach truck where licensed and authorised.
Complete daily equipment inspections and required records.
Pack and prepare parcels for dispatch and ensure materials are protected from damage.
Assist with movement of parts between Warehouse, Production and Quality.
Assist with collections and deliveries of parts, materials and supplies.
Ensure goods are correctly loaded, secured and delivered safely and on time.
Complete basic vehicle inspections and maintain accurate collection/delivery records.
Support Production and Quality with urgent material requirements and inspected/non-conforming parts.

Minimum Requirements

Matric / NQF Level 4 equivalent.
Valid Drivers Licence – Non-negotiable.
Valid Forklift Operator Licence – Non-negotiable.
3 to 4 years experience in warehouse, stores, logistics or stock control.
Practical experience in receiving, storing, picking, issuing and controlling stock.
Experience with stock counts and reconciliation.
Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office.
ERP warehouse/inventory experience advantageous.
Good understanding of workplace health and safety.
Ability to work independently and within a team.

Advantageous

Automotive, manufacturing or production environment experience.
Vehicle/automotive parts experience.
Reach Truck and/or Pallet Jack certification.
Knowledge of 5S principles.
ERP-based warehouse/inventory experience.
