Waiter - Hoseki

Hoseki Restaurant is looking for a waiter to provide excellent service and to ensure great customer satisfaction. If you have the patience, personality and perseverance to thrive in this role, please apply!Key Responsibilities

Main responsibilities:

• Greeting guests at their assigned tables and ensuring each guest receives a menu and wine list

• Maintaining thorough knowledge of all menu items, including basic ingredients and preparation methods

• Ensuring tables are properly set with linens, silverware, and glassware

• Taking accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system

• Communicating orders timeously to bar and kitchen staff

• Delivering food and beverages within specified timeframes

• Clearing used cutlery and crockery

• Offering desserts and coffee while upselling

• Billing guests accurately

• Maintaining a clean and hygienic restaurant environment, including fixtures and fittings

• Ensuring a clean and professional uniform is worn at all times

Main requirements:

• Grade 12

• Preferably 3 years' previous waiter/waitress experience in a similar environment

• Basic knowledge of wine and surrounding wine regions

• Hands-on experience with a cash register and ordering information system

• Basic mathematical skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong customer service orientation, active listening skills, and a well-presented appearance

• Attentive and patient when dealing with customers

• Comfortable interacting with distinguished clientele

• Flexibility, accountability, and an enthusiastic personality
