Job Description:

Looking for a skilled Virtualisation and Windows OS Engineer to join our client in Pretoria, Gauteng. As a key member of the IT department, you will be responsible for managing virtual environments, Windows server administration, clustering, Azure management, and performance optimization.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Virtualization Management

- Design, deploy, and manage virtual environments using Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware

- Create, configure, migrate, and maintain virtual machines

- Manage and optimize virtual networks and storage

Windows Server Administration

- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments

- Perform patching, upgrades, and system health checks

- Ensure server security and compliance standards are met

Clustering & High Availability

- Implement and manage Microsoft Failover Clusters

- Ensure high availability and business continuity

- Configure cluster storage and networking

Cloud (Azure) Management

- Deploy and manage Azure IaaS environments

- Configure virtual networks and cloud-based infrastructure

- Monitor and maintain Azure server security and performance

Performance & Optimization

- Conduct in-depth analysis of server performance

- Identify bottlenecks and implement optimization strategies

- Monitor capacity and recommend improvements

Qualifications:

Qualification Types: Certificates/Certification

Qualifications: MCP (MS Certified Professional), MCSE (MS Certified Systems Engineer)
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
HPE Server and Storage Certificates (Advantageous)
