Vetting & Compliance Clerk

SUMMARY:
A well-established financial services organisation seeks a Compliance Clerk to join its growing team. This role will work closely with the Credit department and take responsibility for reviewing documentation, conducting compliance checks, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring lending transactions adhere to internal and regulatory requirements.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:

• Review transactions and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and contractual obligations
• Conduct agreement and signatory verification checks to ensure accuracy and completeness before processing
• Monitor transactional activities and identify discrepancies, irregularities or non-compliant matters for escalation
• Maintain compliance records, registers and related documentation in line with company standards
• Compile compliance reports and exception reports for management review
• Assist with risk identification activities and support the implementation of corrective measures where required
• Provide documentation and administrative support during internal and external audit processes
• Liaise with Credit, Finance, Risk and other stakeholders to resolve compliance-related queries
• Promote adherence to compliance procedures and support ongoing awareness initiatives within the business

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in compliance, credit administration, finance administration, or related role
• Exposure to lending, banking, financial services, factoring, discounting or credit environments advantageous
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, internal controls and document verification processes

• Matric & Diploma OR Certificate
