Vehicle Technician

SUMMARY:
Our client in George is seeking a Junior Vehicle Technician with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance and repair. The successful candidate will assist senior technicians in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a variety of vehicles while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.

POSITION INFO:
Description:

• Perform routine vehicle maintenance and minor repairs (oil changes, brakes, filters, tyres, etc.).
• Assist senior technicians with diagnostics and more complex repairs.
• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer standards and workshop procedures.
• Accurately complete job cards and communicate additional work requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the workshop.
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

• Relevant automotive qualification (NQF Level 4 or equivalent; trade test advantageous).
• 2–3 years’ practical experience in a vehicle workshop or dealership.
• Basic mechanical and electrical repair skills.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to follow technical manuals and diagnostic procedures.
• Valid driver’s license (Code 8 / B)
