SUMMARY:
A well-established company in the East Rand is seeking a Personal Lines Underwriter to join their dynamic team.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements

Matric (Required)
5+ years’ Personal Lines Underwriting experience
Strong underwriting and risk assessment skills
Experience working on a Hollard Binder
Cardinal 360 experience (Essential)
Knowledge of short-term insurance practices
Strong communication, analytical and organisational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work independently and within a team

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare insurance quotations and assess risks
Determine premiums based on client profiles
Manage renewals, retentions, cancellations, and policy amendments
Handle post-loss corrective actions and insurance documentation
Liaise with clients regarding inventories and policy matters
Maintain accurate client and policy records
Build relationships with brokers, clients, insurers and service providers
Ensure compliance with underwriting standards and regulations
Assist the Personal Lines team with daily workload management
Administer TIG products within client portfolios
