Transport Broker

Client & Load Management Receive and process transport load requests accurately and timeously Coordinate and allocate loads to approved transporters Monitor loads in transit and provide regular updates to clients Resolve delays, breakdowns, and operational issues efficiently Ensure all proof of delivery (POD) documentation is collected and filed correctly Maintain strong relationships with clients and transporters Transporter Coordination Negotiate transporter rates in line with approved margins Build and maintain relationships with transport service providers Ensure all transporter compliance documents are valid and up to date Assist with onboarding new transporters and collecting required documentation Commercial & Administrative Duties Manage margins and profitability per load Identify opportunities for additional business within existing accounts Maintain accurate load records and operational reports Ensure all load documentation is completed and filed correctly Submit regular operational and load status reports Compliance & Operations Adhere to company procedures and transport regulations Ensure load security procedures are followed on all relevant routes Report any compliance, security, or operational concerns immediately Maintain high levels of accuracy and professionalism in all dealings Minimum Requirements Qualifications Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport, Business Management, or related field Valid driver’s licence Experience Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in transport, logistics, freight, or supply chain environment Experience in transport coordination or freight brokering advantageous Experience working with bulk commodities is beneficial Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure Knowledge & Skills Understanding of road transport operations and logistics processes Knowledge of transport documentation and load administration Strong negotiation and relationship management skills Good computer literacy, including Excel and email systems Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent problem-solving and organisational abilities
