POSITION INFO:

Purpose of the Role:

Is to co-ordinate all training interventions planned and requested by sites. Responsible for the Planning, managing, monitoring all the organisations training programs. To be the custodian liaison of the organisation with the SETA(s). Ensure the development of organisation’s employees by providing relevant skills.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• communicating with managers to identify training needs and plan for them.
• Mapping out development plans for teams and individuals.
• Map out annual training plans for all employees (i.e. management, HR, and more- outsourced and/or in-house)
• Conduct organization-wide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed – Conducting Skills Audits
• Use known education principles and stay up to date on new training methods and techniques
• Prepare and order learning materials for internal training
• Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational session – training Reports
• Maintain updated database and training records
• Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment
• Develop WSP/ATR and submit to relevant SETA
• Liaise with the SETA as a custodian liaison and make relevant submissions
• Implement Planned/unplanned Skills development interventions
• Monitor Progress and Quality Assurance of internal /external training
• Oversee job functions of the training administrator
• Submit training reports to manager
• Custodian adviser to employer regarding skills trends and needs.
• Compile budget for training

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant Degree or Diploma
• Knowledge required with regards to the compilation and submission of the WSP / ATR; Employment Equity reports
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a trainer/facilitator
• Registered assessor and moderator
• Registered Skills Development Facilitator
• Good knowledge of SAQA, QTCO and SETA structures and the Skills
• Development Act (SDA)
  Development and Design of outcomes based training material
  Knowledge of a Learner Management System
