SUMMARY:
An intimate, luxury safari lodge in the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve is seeking an experienced FIELD GUIDE, qualified in trails, to join their close-knit team.

POSITION INFO:
This is a hands-on guiding role suited to someone equally at home behind the wheel and on foot; the lodge's exclusive-use, low-volume setting calls for a guide who thrives on delivering intimate, high-quality guest experiences in a remote bush environment.

Core Criteria:

Minimum 3-4 years' guiding experience in a safari or reserve environment
Trails guiding qualification essential, with all required registrations in place
Valid firearm competency (advantageous or required, depending on reserve protocol)
Excellent guest engagement and storytelling ability
Comfortable conducting both vehicle-based game drives and walking safaris

Core Responsibilities:

Conduct game drives and guided walking safaris for lodge guests
Deliver an engaging, informative, and safe guest experience in the field
Maintain vehicle and guiding equipment in good working order
Build strong, ongoing knowledge of the reserve, its wildlife, and its ecology
Uphold safety protocols at all times while guiding
Assist with general guest interaction beyond scheduled activities where needed
