SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Toolmaker to maintain, repair, troubleshoot and improve plastic injection moulds to maximise production uptime, product quality and mould reliability.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements

Qualified Toolmaker (Trade Test Essential)
Minimum 5 years post-trade experience
Minimum 3 years experience on plastic injection moulds
Automotive OEM experience advantageous
Experience with:
- Multi-cavity moulds
- Hot runner systems
- Hydraulic & pneumatic core systems
- Large moulds (advantageous)

Key Responsibilities

Preventative maintenance and major overhauls of injection moulds
Repair mould components including inserts, slides, lifters, ejector systems, cooling circuits and hot runners
Diagnose and resolve mould defects and recurring failures
Perform precision machining, fitting and polishing
Read engineering drawings and work to close tolerances
Complete maintenance records and inspection reports
Recommend tooling improvements to improve reliability and reduce downtime
