QUALITY CONTROLLER

SUMMARY:
Manufacturing company situated in the Sandton area urgently seeking an experience Quality Controller

POSITION INFO:

Our client, a well-established manufacturer specialising in plastic injection moulding, is seeking a proactive and hands-on Quality Controller to join their team. This opportunity is open to both junior and senior candidates, with remuneration based on experience and capability.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products meet the highest quality standards, maintaining quality management systems, and driving continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct quality inspections on raw materials, in-process production and finished products.
• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
• Identify, investigate and resolve quality-related issues.
• Implement corrective and preventative actions to minimise defects and improve quality.
• Prepare quality reports and maintain accurate inspection records.
• Liaise closely with Production, Toolmakers and Management to resolve quality concerns.
• Assist with customer complaints, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the quality department.
• Assist with establishing, implementing and maintaining ISO quality management systems (advantageous).

Minimum Requirements

• Previous experience as a Quality Controller or Quality Inspector within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience within the plastic injection moulding industry would be highly advantageous.
• Experience implementing or maintaining ISO quality management systems would be a strong advantage.
• Good understanding of quality control processes, inspection techniques and quality documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications would be advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Computer literate with good report writing skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
