Telesales Executive - Food Distribution

SUMMARY:
A well-established company based in the Northern Suburbs is seeking a Telesales executive with experience in food distribution.

POSITION INFO:
Job Summary:

• Assisting clients face to face, telephonically and via email.
• Invoicing and Processing customer orders.
• Managing backorders (delegating amongst the team).
• Responsible for Inside Sales, upselling at all times where applicable.
• Contributing to improving the business and enhancing the reputation of the company at all times.
• Maintain KPI requirements.

• Responsible for outbound and inbound calls and emails.
• Assisting walk in customers (face to face) on emails and telephonically.
• Managing and delegating back – orders amongst the team.
• Assisting with invoicing of orders (if needed) and ensure pricing and quantities are loaded correctly.
• Increasing customer spend by: Upselling, cross selling and promoting new product lines.
• Liaising with internal departments making sure tasks are completed where needed.
• Informing customers of no stocks and offering alternatives as well as informing customers of when stock will or has arrived.
• Lead passing to field sales team.
• Assisting with client queries, complaints and concerns.
• Additional projects / tasks to be completed as per the business needs.
• Meet and exceed daily / weekly / monthly KPI’s set out by management.
• Grow existing customer base, building new and old customer relationships.
• Onboarding of new customers.
• Assisting the sales team when needed.

• Matric and other relevant qualifications.
• Minimum of 3 years experience as an orders clerk or similar customer service role.
• FMCG Industry experience / Knowledge will be to your advantage.
• Experience with order capturing software (QuickBooks / Pastel / Other).
• Ability to work in a fast paced and highly pressurized environment.
• Taking initiative and following through is key in this environment.
• Must be able to work in a team i.e. team player.
• Excellent verbal and written skill sets.
• Telephonic etiquette.
• Computer literate – need to be able to adapt to new and existing internal CRM tools.
• Problem solving skill.
• Hard working, organized and excellent work ethic.
• Own transport.
