SUMMARY:
Technician (Laboratory) –LLP Quality- Malmesbury

POSITION INFO:

Main purpose of the job:

To provide testing service to production, by performing all microbiological tests on the final products, in- process QC monitoring samples and the factory to monitor compliance with food safety and environmental hygiene and sanitation standards.

Preferred Requirements:

Matric
B.Sc: Chemistry or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Food Science or National Diploma Food Technology or equivalent qualification.
Full competence in this role will typically be developed over a 2 year period in Food Manufacturing environment Candidate should have prior Experience in Aseptic Sampling Method, Microbiological Analysis

Knowledge:

ISO, HACCP, GMP, Food Technology, World class manufacturing and quality practices and models
Specific product and process knowledge
Testing methods and tools used in Micro testing
Problem Solving Tools
Audit practices and principles
Maintaining occupational health, safety and environmental legislation relevant to the food manufacturing industry
Problem solving techniques
Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures in the food manufacturing environment
Knowledge of the effect of micro-organisms on personal health, hygiene and food safety
Monitor quality control practice in a food manufacturing environment
Knowledge of aseptic sampling methods

Skills:

Ability to maintain Quality Management and Quality Control systems
Ability to carry out aseptic sampling tests in line with best practices
