Job Description:

• Conduct destructive and non-destructive testing on concrete, composites, and steel components
• Prepare, cast, cure, and manage test specimens with exceptional accuracy
• Support prototype assembly and structural load testing alongside engineering teams
• Record, analyse, and report test results with precision and integrity
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure reliable performance
• Manage laboratory materials and consumables while maintaining a safe, organised work environment

• Minimum 3 - 5 years' hands-on experience in a construction materials or engineering testing laboratory
• Strong knowledge of SANS, ASTM, or ISO testing standards
• Experience operating materials testing equipment and interpreting test data
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and a practical, hands-on approach
• Experience with fibre-reinforced concrete, composites, or hydraulic testing equipment will be an advantage

• National Diploma, BTech, or BSc in Civil Engineering, Materials Science
