Our client, a well-established leader within the engineering and industrial sector, is looking to appoint a driven and customer-focused Technical Internal Sales Consultant to join their dynamic sales team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced technical environment where no two days are the same. You'll work closely with external sales representatives, assist customers in finding the right solutions, and play a key role in supporting sales growth while building long-term client relationships.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

Support the external sales team by preparing quotations and converting sales opportunities.
Respond professionally to customer enquiries and provide technical product guidance.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through exceptional service.
Identify customer requirements and recommend suitable products and solutions.
Process customer orders and ensure accurate administration through SAP.
Liaise with internal departments to ensure efficient order fulfilment.
Apply effective sales and negotiation techniques to maximise business opportunities.
Assist the sales team in achieving regional sales objectives.
Participate in after-hours standby support when required.

Minimum Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Management or a related qualification.
An Engineering qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or similar) will be highly advantageous.
Minimum 1–2 years' experience within an Internal Sales, Customer Service, Sales Support or similar commercial role.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong administrative and organisational abilities.
Ability to understand and communicate technical information confidently.
Professional, customer-focused approach.
Valid driver's licence.
Experience within an engineering, industrial, manufacturing or technical environment will be highly advantageous.
