SUMMARY:
Talent Acquisition (TA) Manager for Cellulant, a Pan African Payment Gateway Fintech.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Talent Acquisition (TA) Manager will be responsible for managing, building and giving strategic direction to the Talent Acquisition team in a fast-paced and rapidly growing Pan African payment Fintech Business.

He/she will guide recruitment automation and report on Talent Acquisition performance.

The TA manager will find and retain excellent employees and build a strong employment brand.

Management responsibilities:

  • Manage a recruitment team consisting of Technical and Generalist TA team members.
  • Give strategic TA direction and develop hiring plans to support a fast-growing business.
  • Determine current staffing needs and guide the team on building a pipeline to address future business needs.
  • Guide the team on conducting recruitment and selection processes (Behavioural, technical and case study interviews).
  • Support hiring managers from multiple business units.
  • Meet managers to discuss staffing requirements and determine pipeline requirements.

Recruitment and Sourcing: 

  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition team members and assist with Talent Acquisition and sourcing of scarce and senior job roles.
  • Draft sourcing plans, identify applicable talent pools and collate information on potential candidates.
  • Draft Job advertisements.
  • Advertise job openings on various recruitment portals and social media platforms.
  • Perform branded applicant outreaches to attract top talent.
  • Applicant screening and shortlisting.
  • Attend interviews and conduct behavioural interviews.
  • Coordinate candidate assessments (Technical and non-technical).
  • Provide feedback and suggestions on job applications to candidates.
  • Reference checking and background screening.
  • Extend offers. 
  • Build a talent pipeline to address potential staff needs for projects and developments in the business 

Brand building and Employee retention: 

  • Lead employment branding initiatives to ensure a positive Talent Acquisition social media presence and outreach program.
  • Take steps to ensure positive candidate experiences.
  • Assist in employee retention. 
  • Identifying candidates for transfers or reassignment in the company.

Training and development:

  • Identify training needs and play an active part in upskilling an effective and productive TA team.

Reporting:

  • Identify recruitment metrics.
  • Use metrics to create reports and identify areas of improvement.

 

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have experience:

  • 10 years of recruitment experience.
  • At least 3 years of Talent management experience – leading and managing a team.
  • An above-average knowledge and experience of recruitment and sourcing, as well as best practices.
  • Excellent understanding of recruitment methods and tools.
  • Solid knowledge of applicable labour, data protection and protection of personal information legislation.
  • A proven ability to train TA team members.

Experience that will count in your favour: 

  • IT Recruitment experience.
  • Financial Services and Fintech recruitment experience.
  • Working across multiple Pan African jurisdictions / multiple countries and diverse resources.
  • Ability to manage and drive a scaled-up or high-production recruitment environment.

Nice to have experience: 

  • Pan African recruitment experience.

 Qualification:

  • A degree in Human Sciences, Industrial Psychology or Business.
  • Post-graduate qualifications (Bonus).

Continuous learning:

  • Recruitment and Sourcing Certifications and Courses.
  • Recruitment Industry Memberships.

 Skills:

  • Excellent Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Google workspace experience (Bonus).
  • Knowledge of recruitment automation tools and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Sourcing tools and techniques.
  • Solid Google X-ray (Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and Social Media Intelligence (SOCMINT).
