Tagging and Tracking Lead (Cape Town/Hybrid)

Technical lead for business-wide tagging implementation (web and app) ensures that the data used in analytics systems and reports are accurate and of high quality
Make custom tracking code for a sophisticated Adobe Analytics/Google Analytics solution using various Tag Management Systems
In order to continuously improve and optimize data flows, QA testing is performed on the current implementation
Creation and upkeep of documentation on the infrastructure and environment for tagging
In order to accurately measure and report on marketing campaigns, activities, and experiences across our digital platforms, help define the requirements and support business partners
In order to successfully execute and receive approval for requirements involving custom variables or Data Layer work, coordinate with developers, provide developer guides, and conduct testing
Maintains the setting of the analytics and tagging platforms, as well as the integrations with other tools
 
Skills & Experience:
Proficiency with JavaScript, HTML and 3rd party tagging
Working knowledge of data collection and data quality principles
Proficiency in Tag Management software (e. g. Adobe Launch, Google Tag Manager) preferred
Experience working with an enterprise web analytics platform (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.) including data taxonomy design
Strong business analyst skills; conducting feasibility analysis, requirements gathering, solution implementation
Ad Serving platforms (Double Click, Ad Tech, Atlas) knowledge a plus
