SUMMARY:
ð¥ï¸ Seeking a System Administrator skilled in IT infrastructure, for a Johannesburg, office-based role. Required: 4–5 years’ experience and having supported critical 24/7 IT operations.

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications:

Degree in Information Technology
Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)
ITIL 4 Foundation Certification
Linux OS experience
Firewall certification (advantageous)

Requirements:

4–5 years of proven work experience as a System Administrator or in a related IT role
Strong technical skills in system installation, configuration, and administration
Proficient in:
- Microsoft Active Directory, ADDS, DHCP, DNS, and Certificate Server
- Microsoft Exchange Server
- Windows & Linux OS (virtual and physical environments)
- File Server, IIS, VNC, SFTP, Telnet, and Putty
- Microsoft Office / Office 365
- Hardware setup (servers, switches, routers, and firewalls)
- Network peripherals (printers, scanners, phones, access control, and Wi-Fi)
Experience with scripting and backup/recovery systems
Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical, planning, and customer service orientation

Key Performance Areas (KPA’s):

Install, configure, and maintain Windows & Linux servers
Set up and manage Active Directory, Exchange Server, and network services
Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize network hardware and software
Provide daily IT support to internal and external stakeholders
Administer backups, data recovery, and archiving
Maintain documentation and ensure systems run optimally
Liaise with vendors for service and infrastructure-related issues
Train and mentor IT support staff
Stay updated on IT developments, tools, and best practices
