SUMMARY:
Network Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and certified Linux Systems Administrator to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will hold an active Linux certification and license and possess a strong background in maintaining, optimizing, and securing Linux-based systems and networks. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and security of an organization’s IT infrastructure.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

• System Maintenance & Administration:
  
  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and workstations.
  • Perform system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions proactively.
• Security & Compliance:
  
  • Implement and enforce security best practices to safeguard systems against vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct regular audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies.
• Network & Infrastructure Management:
  
  • Administer network services (DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, VPNs) in a Linux environment.
  • Manage virtualization platforms (KVM, VMware, or Docker) and cloud-based systems.
  • Optimize system performance through load balancing and resource allocation.
• Automation & Scripting:
  
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts (Bash, Python, or Perl) to streamline operations.
  • Deploy configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef) for efficient system administration.
• User & Access Management:
  
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and internal teams.
• Disaster Recovery & Backup:
  
  • Design and implement backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Test recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Certification & Licensing:
  
  • Valid Linux certification (e.g., RHCE, LPIC, Linux+, or equivalent).
  • Active professional license (where applicable) for Linux system administration.
• Experience & Skills:
  
  • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in Linux administration.
  • Proficiency in Red Hat, Ubuntu, CentOS, or Debian environments.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, security frameworks, and scripting.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is advantageous.
