Location: Bloemfontein, Ficksburg & Lesotho
We are looking for an experienced Surveillance Technician to install, maintain, monitor and repair security and surveillance systems across multiple operational sites.
The successful candidate will work with CCTV systems, access control systems, biometric devices, intercoms, electronic locking systems and related network infrastructure. The role includes technical troubleshooting, system inspections, equipment installation and hands-on fieldwork.
Minimum Requirements
- National Senior Certificate / Matric or equivalent to NQF Level 4
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an IT environment
- At least 2 years’ experiencewith:
- IT hardware
- Network infrastructure
- CCTV systems
- Access control systems
- Good computer skills
- Valid South African driver’s licence
- Own reliable transport
- Willingness to work across Bloemfontein, Ficksburg and Lesotho
Key Responsibilities
- Install, monitor, repair and troubleshoot surveillance systems
- Inspect systems and identify faults or malfunctions
- Install, configure and maintain access control systems, including:
- Biometric devices
- Keypads
- Turnstiles
- Intercoms
- Electronic locking systems
- Perform cable installations and device connections
- Ensure installations comply with company procedures and SOPs
- Recommend suitable locations for surveillance equipment
- Verify that CCTV cameras are fully operational
- Monitor recording systems
- Report system faults and non-conformances to management
- Maintain reliable operation of surveillance and security infrastructure

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be technically capable, hands-on and comfortable working independently in the field. You should be confident troubleshooting surveillance systems, working with network infrastructure and carrying out installations and repairs.
The successful candidate should already be proficient in the required technical areas, although ongoing training will be provided when necessary.
