SUMMARY:
SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Picking, Storing, Issuing and Return of plant and equipment in a responsible, productive and efficient manner in line with documented procedures.

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Education: Grade 12
• Additional Qualifications: Stacking and Storage certificate
• Minimum Work Experience: 2-3 years’ experience in a construction environment will be an advantage. Familiarity with construction equipment, terminology and processes

• Material And Equipment Control
• Prepare equipment for issue, i.e., testing, visual inspections, assembly and verification of inspection documentation.
• Receive stock from suppliers, sites, and contractors; check, confirm, and process receipt into stores.
• Render basic repairs on equipment and equipment maintenance.
• Receive equipment returned, i.e., visual inspection and testing of equipment.
• General housekeeping duties.
• Verify the availability of stock.
• Loading and offloading of stock.
• Stacking and storage.
• Draw required stock and equipment.
• Dispatch all orders requested.
• Maintain all stores assets.

• Ensures compliance with health, safety and relevant legislation.
• Support and ensure compliance with environmental management.
• Providing a safe and healthy working environment.
• Report any situation that is unsafe or unhealthy.

• Receiving orders.
• Assist with inspections, i.e., identification of equipment and log sheets.
• Numbering of equipment.
• Complete equipment information documentation.
• To execute the receiving and dispatching of stock.
• Raise delivery notes against the relevant accounts.
• Verify stock against order numbers.
• Prepare stock requirements timeously.
• Maintain effective stock control at all times.
• Process stores documentation.
• Conduct monthly stock takes.
