SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity exists for a Stock Controller with approx. 3 to 5 years of experience in a production environment; injection moulding, blow moulding and/or other plastics machinery would be advantageous.

POSITION INFO:

An exciting opportunity exists for a Stock Controller with approx. 3 to 5 years of experience in a production environment; injection moulding, blow moulding and/or other plastics machinery would be advantageous. The company is well established having been operating in South Africa for over 30 years. They supply and export plastic houseware, kitchenware and baby care products to national chain stores, national and independent wholesalers, corporate companies and medium to small enterprises.

Position details:

Type: Permanent
Reports to: Factory Manager

Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Receiving of stock and checking offloaded stock against delivery notes.
• Physical and systematic monitoring of faulty stock returns.
• Control over production consumable stock daily; ensure that there is no production/operational delay as a result of stock shortages.
• Perform calculation at departments according to min/max levels.
• Deliver stock to floor according to production consumable stock lists.
• Control of storing stores stock and non-stock items.
• Liaise with department manager when needed for any stock priorities or demands.

Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

• Matric
• Any warehousing / stock control course or formal education would be an advantage.
• 3-5 years'' experience in stock control / management.
• MS Office
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
