A rapidly growing confectionery company currently based in Gauteng has a mission to bring joy to its customers through edible art and a vision to be the leading confectionery e-tailer in the country by 2027. With a strong culture of empowerment, the organization is run by its founder and a team of 25 bakers, cake decorators, sales agents, and other young visionaries.

The Role: Stock Controller:

The main responsibility of the Stock Controller is to manage and control all processes involving stock within the Production Department, reporting directly to the Operations Manager. This fast-paced role exists to maintain precise inventory control as the company prepares for scale, with a strong focus on units of measure, multitasking, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Manage all inbound & outbound transfers of stock.
Perform daily housekeeping of the stock room with adherence to health & safety standards.
Receive & decant raw materials.
Execute accurate picking, weighing & dispatching of required items.
Conduct scheduled wall-to-wall stock takes & cycle counts.
Control damages & short-dated stock while upholding FEFO.
Complete daily, weekly & monthly reports, including transfers, wastage, and manufacturing.

About You

At least 2 years of proven success in a stock control role.
Post-matric qualification required (degree, diploma, or certificate).
Strong mathematical competency in units of measure (e.g. converting g to kg).
Computer literacy and proficiency in capturing stock data on inventory systems such as SAP, GAAP or similar.
Strong working knowledge of inventory management.
Strong time management skills.
Excellent communication & collaboration skills.
Proficiency in Apple iOS will be advantageous.
Strong knowledge of the food manufacturing industry will be advantageous.
