SUMMARY:
Johannesburg. Opportunity exists for hardworking, hands-on Stock Controller to join well-established, growing concern servicing the Pet and Veterinary industry.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

Manage stock line reports and train all staff on stock control related SOP’s
Maintain stock accuracy at all times
Keep appropriate records and reports to guarantee that tight inventory control and security is maintained
Control the receiving of all stock transfers from all suppliers
Accurately write up and record stock electronically as per SOP (description, batch number, expiry date)
Ensure proper stock rotation
Ensure that goods received correspond with the paperwork and are of good quality
Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards
Ensure all damages are recorded and correct procedure followed
Ensure that products binned are according to the FEFO system
Oversee that Bin Transfers are done timeously as per inventory control schedule
Oversee replenishment of pick faces as per inventory control schedule
Investigate and resolve stock queries within reasonable time frames
Oversee customer returns - sign for collection slips, credit returns from customers, accurate reverse binning of returned stock
Conduct regular cycle counts
Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety
Comply with Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA)

Requirements:

Proven stock management experience
Effective supervisory skills and techniques
Ability to investigate variances
Knowledge of MS Office proficiency and the ability to input and retrieve data on PC
Hands-on commitment to getting the job done
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations
Strong organizational and time management skills
Good communication skills
Detail and deadline oriented
Safety management
Team player
Proven attendance record
