Stock Controller

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Petroleum/Retail Industry is seeking to employ a Stock Controller to join their team. Please note that this is a fixed-term contract.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels and identify stock and supplies that require replenishing.
• Conduct accurate stock takes and ensure all stock counts are recorded correctly.
• Identifying and resolving discrepancies found during stock counts and reporting any stock shortages etc to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with organisation and maintenance of the stockroom.
• Document and maintain stock control and production procedures.
• Monitor the product expiry dates and ensure that stock is within the shelf-life range.
• Ensure that stock is handles, stored and transported with care to prevent damage or loss.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when handling stock.
• Receiving stock, checking invoices/GRVs, stock counts, investigating variances, stock rotation and maintaining accurate stock records.

• Matric certificate
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Honest, reliable, and presentable
• Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods
• Attention to details
