Stock Control Manager

SUMMARY:
Working hours:  Monday – Friday:  07:30 – 17:00 (30 min lunch), every 2nd Saturday 08:00 – 13:00 and Public Holidays 08:00 – 12:00
 
Position will be based in Rosslyn area

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Stock Control Manager to oversee inventory operations and manage the stock control team. This is a critical role to ensure stock accuracy, smooth movement of goods, and compliance with operational standards.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements:

• Grade 12
• 5+ years’ experience within the same or similar role
• Experience with truck parts will be highly beneficial 
• Certificate/Diploma in Inventory Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
• Relevant short courses in Storekeeping/Stock Control

1. Stock Management

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records through regular audits and reconciliations.
• Oversee receiving, storage, issuing, and return processes of stock items with correct documentation.
• Implement and maintain effective stock control systems and software.
• Analyse inventory trends and patterns to support forecasting and operational planning.
• Forecast stock demand and ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained.

1. Team Management

• Stand in for the Director on stock-related issues when required.
• Lead and manage a stock control team, including work schedules and leave planning.
• Conduct performance reviews and developmental feedback sessions.
• Address disciplinary issues and maintain a high-performance team culture.
• Resolve queries and issues from internal teams, suppliers, and customers.

1. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in inventory handling.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
