This is an opportunity to join abrand-new social media and content agency at the very beginningand play a key role in building it from the ground up.

The agency is being launched with thebacking, infrastructure, and business expertise of an established South African company, and we are looking for ourfirst key hire.

Someone who will eventually be able to say:

“I helped build this.”

You won’t be joining an established agency as employee number 37.

You’ll be joining at the beginning.

Working directly with the Directors, you’ll have the opportunity to help shape:

• The company’s creative direction
• Its social media presence
• Its client portfolio
• Campaigns and content strategies
• Internal processes
• Business development and growth strategy

As the business grows,your role will grow with it.

The long-term vision is for the right person to progress from:

Social Media & Content Strategist → Social Media & Content Manager/Lead → Head of Content & Social Media

Youlive and breathe social media.

You understand TikTok, Instagram, Reels, trends, hooks, algorithms, audience behaviour, and what makes content perform.

You don’t need someone to tell you what’s trending — you probably spotted it before everyone else.

You have a creative brain that is constantly thinking:

“There’s a better way to tell this story.”

Ideally, you’ve already built or grown a social media audience of your own, or you can demonstrate accounts and content that you have personally developed.

Follower numbers alone won’t impress us.

We want to know:

• Did you build it?
• Do people actually engage with it?
• Do you understand why the content worked?
• Can you explain what you would do differently?
• Could you replicate that success for a business or brand?

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The successful candidate will be responsible for a combination ofcreative, strategic, client-facing, and commercial responsibilities.

Social Media & Content

• Develop social media strategies for clients
• Create original content concepts and campaigns
• Film and edit Reels, TikToks, and other short-form content
• Identify emerging trends and opportunities
• Develop compelling hooks and storytelling concepts
• Build and manage content calendars
• Create content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn
• Analyse performance data and continuously improve content
• Understand audience behaviour and platform trends
• Manage multiple brands and projects simultaneously

Client & Business Development

• Meet with and present to clients
• Understand client objectives and translate them into creative strategies
• Pitch creative concepts and campaigns
• Confidently present and defend your ideas
• Identify opportunities to grow existing client relationships
• Identify potential new business opportunities
• Assist with pitches and proposals
• Help convert prospects into paying clients

We’re looking for someone who canthink like a creator and a business person.

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience

In addition to the base salary, the package includes:

• New-business commission
• Client-retention incentives
• Performance bonuses
