SUMMARY:
Site based Quantity Surveyor

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities

Manage project costs from pre-construction through to completion
Prepare and monitor project budgets and cost reports
Measurement and preparation of Bills of Quantities
Valuations, payment certificates and progress claims
Subcontractor management and commercial administration
Variations, claims and final accounts
Cost forecasting and financial reporting
Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets
Work closely with Project Managers, Site Teams and Consultants
Ensure effective commercial control throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

BSc/BTech/Diploma in Quantity Surveying
Professional registration with SACQSP advantageous
Minimum 5 years’ Quantity Surveying experience
Proven experience on residential and commercial building projects
Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management
Excellent measurement and cost-control skills
Experience with CCS Candy and/or BuildSmart advantageous
Strong computer and Excel skills
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
Valid driver’s licence
