Security Operations Manager / Residential Estate & Resort

REQUIREMENTS:

Matric/Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent. A diploma or degree would be advantageous •PSIRA Grade A/B registered.

• Valid Driver''s License with own reliable transport

• At least 5-10 years'' relevant experience in the Security and/or Law Enforcement industry

• Working knowledge of the Firearm Act and Firearm competency for Business Purposes.

• Staff management experience.

• Investigation experience

• Experience with estate security would be advantageous.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

Strong leadership, planning and organisational skills as well as good interpersonal and communication skills are essential, Computer literacy (MS Office);ability to work both independently and in a team, ability to work under pressure and willingness to work after hours; Problem solving and investigation skills; report writing and presentation skills..

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Maintaining good relations between the Service Provider, the estaste and residents with regard to security services rendered

• Ensuring that contractual requirements are met as stipulated in the requisite SLAs

• Constantly evaluating the service levels provided and making recommendations to the Management and the Service provider regarding the improvement of services

• General management and supervision of estate security staff to ensure that required performance is met at all times

• Dealing with all required security administration matters

• Liaising daily with management and residents on various security operational issues

• Ensuring the timeous submission of reports

 • Submitting relevant weekly / monthly incident and general reports to Management.

• Investigating incidents and reporting on such.

• Pro-active planning

• Completing risk assessments

•Develop a working relationship with all stakeholders including SAPS

• Attend all  security incidents  on estate personally, and assist the resident/s with any/all security queries or concern.

• Development of workflows, security processes and guiding policy for the security division at the estate.

• Ensuring that outsourced security personnel are trained on predefined security rules and procedures at the estate.

• Crisis and emergency management. Compliance with Occupational Health and Safety.
