POSITION INFO:
Our client is a provider of commercial kitchen and hospitality equipment. Backed by the success of an established parent company, this new business venture operates from a central hub in Westmead, focusing exclusively on supplying high-quality, essential catering and hospitality equipment to restaurants, hotels, resorts, and catering facilities.

As an External Sales Representative, your primary focus will be driving new business development and market penetration across the KwaZulu-Natal region. This is a pure hunting and prospecting role where you will introduce our clients range of hospitality equipment to diverse hospitality clientele.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct proactive market research, cold calling, and door-to-door prospecting to identify new business opportunities.
Travel extensively across the KZN region to meet with restaurateurs, hotel general managers, chefs, and catering managers.
Promote and sell a premium range of commercial kitchen and hospitality equipment.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new clients within the hospitality sector.
Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets to drive business growth.
Provide regular feedback on market trends, competitor activity, and new product opportunities to management.

Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in external (on-the-road) sales.
Prior experience or a strong network within the hospitality, catering, or commercial kitchen equipment industry is highly advantageous.
A valid South African driver's license is mandatory.
Possession of a reliable, personal vehicle is highly advantageous.
Proven track record of successful cold calling and new business development.

Remuneration

Basic Salary: R10,000 – R18,000 per month (dependent on experience)
Benefits: Cell phone allowance
Commission: Highly competitive structure to be discussed, dependent on salary level and experience.
