SUMMARY:
We are recruiting an experienced Sales Representative with lighting industry experience to develop business, manage customer relationships and achieve sales targets. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge and can engage confidently with engineers, mining personnel, contractors and heavy-industry clients.

POSITION INFO:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and grow sales within existing and new customer markets.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive cold calling, networking and market development.
Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with customers, contractors, engineers and technical stakeholders.
Conduct customer visits and identify opportunities for lighting solutions across various industries.
Provide customers with appropriate technical and product information based on their requirements.
Utilise AGI and/or Relux for lighting design and related customer requirements.
Engage confidently with personnel within engineering, mining, heavy industry, construction and contracting environments.
Prepare quotations, follow up on opportunities and actively drive the sales process through to closure.
Meet and exceed agreed sales and revenue targets.
Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and consistently convert opportunities into business.
Plan daily and weekly sales activities, customer visits and prospecting initiatives independently.
Complete accurate daily call reports and customer activity updates on the company CRM platform.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities and sales activity.
Attend product launches, exhibitions and trade shows as required.
Remain up to date with relevant lighting products, applications, market developments and industry trends.
Represent the company professionally and maintain a high standard of personal presentation at all times.
Work independently while maintaining regular communication and reporting to management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Proven external sales experience within the lighting industry.
Strong understanding of lighting products, applications and industry practices.
Experience with lighting design software – AGI and/or Relux.
Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Proven ability to cold call, generate new business and develop markets.
Demonstrated ability to close sales and convert opportunities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with:
- Engineers
- Mining personnel
- Heavy-industry clients
- Contractors
- Technical and commercial decision-makers
Strong planning, organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a territory/customer base effectively.
Basic computer literacy and confidence using CRM systems.
Valid drivers licence and own reliable vehicle.
Professional, neat and presentable appearance.
Willingness to travel to customers and attend industry events as required.
