Location: Gauteng
Basic Salary: R12,000 – R15,000 per month
Travel Allowance: R5,000 per month
Fuel Card | Company Tools of Trade | Commission

Realistic Commission Potential: R20,000 – R35,000+ per month

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Business Development

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Gauteng market.
• Generate leads through proactive business development, networking, referrals and market activity.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
• Conduct customer visits and site meetings where required.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
• Prepare and present quotations and follow up effectively to secure orders.
• Negotiate with customers while protecting margins and company interests.
• Consistently achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets.

Technical & Product Sales

• Develop a strong understanding of the company''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''s aluminium, glazing, security and related product range.
• Interpret and understand basic technical drawings, measurements and specifications.
• Discuss product specifications and applications with customers.
• Liaise with internal production, installation and technical teams to ensure customer requirements are correctly understood.
• Provide customers with practical solutions based on their needs, budget and application.
• Keep up to date with developments and trends within the aluminium, construction, architectural and security industries.

Customer Service & Account Management

• Maintain professional relationships throughout the sales process – from initial enquiry through to completion.
• Ensure quotations and customer requirements are followed up promptly.
• Resolve customer queries and assist with problems in a professional, solutions-oriented manner.
• Develop repeat business and maximise opportunities within the existing customer base.

Candidates from related technical sales environments will also be considered.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Matric / Grade 12.
• Proven sales experience, preferably in a technical or product-based sales environment.
• Good understanding of technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience selling into the construction, building materials, aluminium, glazing, architectural or security sectors would be highly advantageous.
• Ability to understand technical products and communicate their benefits clearly to customers.
• Strong new-business development and relationship-building ability.
• Target-driven with a proven ability to close sales.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Valid, unendorsed driver''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''s licence.
• Own reliable vehicle.
• Willingness to travel extensively within Gauteng.
• A Sales, Marketing, Technical or related qualification would be advantageous.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

However, we are also open to strong technical salespeople from related industries who have the ability to learn a product range quickly and who have a proven track record of generating business.
