Sales Representative — Chemical / Mineral Products

We are seeking an experienced Sales Representative to play a vital role in expanding our market presence within Chemicals and Mineral Products, driving strategic growth and fostering long-term customer relationships.

Where You'll Make an Impact

• Maintain and service the existing customer base through regular visits, calls, and email communication

• Expand the customer base by engaging with at least 12 new leads or prospects each month

• Broaden product offering across current accounts, with a focus on Industrial Minerals and Chemicals

• Monitor customer demands and buying habits to develop accurate forecasts and strategic approaches

• Facilitate the full sales cycle from initial contact to order, collaborating closely with internal teams

• Conduct a minimum of 6 customer visits per week, with detailed pre- and post-visit reports

• Plan visits with the Divisional Sales Manager to support regional expansion initiatives

• Attend customer and industry days, stock takes, and participate in industry research and analysis

• Leverage AI tools, internet research, and industry contacts to identify and qualify new prospects

• Submit weekly reports and develop monthly customer call plans

• Update reports with customer feedback and field intelligence, recording all interactions in KPI monitoring files

• Contribute to monthly stock planning to support business operations

Requirements:

• 8-10 years’ experience in sales within the chemical or mineral industry

• Proven ability to maximize sales and negotiate effectively

• Strong customer service skills and a track record of developing new business

• Ability to plan and execute strategic sales approaches

• Proficiency in using AI tools, internet resources, and industry contacts for market intelligence

• Excellent reporting and communication skills

• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regionally

Nice to Have:

• Experience in the Chemical/Mineral markets

• Knowledge of business climate, competition, and product trends in the industry
