Sales Assistant and Administrator

Our client in Durbanville is seeking an energetic person to manage front-desk responsibilities, provide sales support, and perform general administrative duties.

This role requires excellent communication skills in both Afrikaans and English, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Pastel, and the flexibility to work on Saturdays when required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as a receptionist or in a customer-facing role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (fluent in Afrikaans and English, both written and spoken).
• Own transport
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Experience with Pastel accounting software.
• Sales experience is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
• Willingness to work Saturdays when required.
• Demonstrated good track record in previous roles.

• Greet and welcome visitors with a warm, professional demeanour.
• Answer and direct phone calls promptly and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized reception area.
• Promote the Company product line to incoming clients which can be converted into sales.
• Assist customers with inquiries, orders, and purchases, including support for the online shop.
• Track inventory and maintain accurate sales records.
• Handle invoicing for restaurants and shops that stock Company products.
• Perform administrative tasks such as filing, booking parcels with courier companies, and ordering stationery.
• Provide support to various departments as needed.
