SUMMARY:
Company situated in Johannesburg South (Cleveland) area seeking a detail-orientated Stock Auditor to handle inventory across head office and branch operations.

POSITION INFO:

Inventory Control & Stock Management

Manage and oversee national stock counts for finished goods, raw materials, and work-in progress
(WIP).
Develop and implement structured stock count schedules across all inventory categories.
Ensure accurate capturing, reconciliation, and reporting of stock counts.
Maintain integrity of stock journals and inventory adjustments.

Audit & Compliance

Conduct monthly branch audits to ensure compliance with inventory control procedures.
Perform regular warehouse inspections, including housekeeping and operational checks.
Execute vehicle and tool audits, ensuring proper tracking and reporting.
Ensure adherence to internal controls and inventory management policies.

Discrepancy Analysis & Resolution

Investigate stock variances and discrepancies across ERP systems and physical counts.
Identify root causes and provide actionable insights to improve stock accuracy.
Manage reconciliation between internal systems and external platforms (e.g. Takealot
stock vs ERP).
Oversee transfer discrepancies and cost adjustments.

Reporting & Administration

Prepare and manage weekly and monthly inventory reports, including:
WIP Reports
Journal Summary Reports
Transfer Discrepancy Reports
Cost Adjustment Reports
Compile and review weekly branch draft count reports to ensure branches adhere to their scheduled stock counts.
Ensure all administrative processes related to inventory are accurately maintained.

Minimum Requirements

Qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Management (or

equivalent).

Proven experience in stock control, inventory management, or stock auditing.
Strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to investigate and resolve stock discrepancies effectively.
Willingness and ability to travel regularly to branches.
