Shipping Coordinator (Cargo, Shipping and Logistics industry)
Cape Town, Paarden Eiland
R18 000 - R25 000 CTC depending on experience

Leading service provider in freight, logistics and food storage has an opportunity for a driven and independent individual with problem solving and analytic thinking skills to join their team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for :

Effective coordination of all shipping processes.
Customer account management.
Clearance and forwarding at the borders for both export and imports.
Road, sea and air freight.
Ensure good customer service at all time
Increase customer base - new business development.

Minimum requirements:

Diploma in Shipping, Clearing and Freight Forwarding, Distribution and Logistics Business
Management or related field.
Min 5 years experience
License and transport preferred for when OT required
Willingness to work additional hours from time to time due to nature of business.
Experience in - Safety of life at Sea (SOLAS), Customs
Requirements or SARS, DAFF, Shipping line requirements, Occupation Health and Safety (OHS) and food
standard.
Experience in client base expansion - this will be rewarded as per the client incentive structure.
