Location: Germiston

Salary: R35 000 – R45 000 (experience‑dependent) 

Our client is seeking a proactive, detail‑driven SHEQ Officer to uphold and improve Safety, Health, Environment & Quality standards across the business. If you’re passionate about compliance, risk control, and continuous improvement, this role is for you!

WHAT YOU NEED:

- Internal & supplier audit experience

- ISO audit experience (ISO 9001:2015 essential)

- 5+ years in Quality, Health & Safety

- Formal qualification in Health & Safety / ISO

- Grade 12 (Matric)

- Computer literacy (SAP advantageous)

SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations & compliance

- Understanding of QMS & ISO processes

- Excellent attention to detail & accuracy

- Strong documentation & report‑writing skills

- Analytical thinking & problem‑solving

- Organised, structured & able to manage multiple priorities

- Effective communication & interpersonal skills

- Strong time management & follow‑through

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Conduct internal & supplier audits to ensure compliance

- Monitor SHEQ performance across the business

- Identify hazards, risks & non‑conformances and implement corrective actions

- Maintain accurate SHEQ documentation, reports & audit records

- Assist with incident investigations & root cause analysis

- Conduct regular workplace inspections

- Support continuous improvement initiatives

- Provide SHEQ guidance & training to staff

- Monitor supplier compliance with quality & safety requirements

- Prepare for external audits & ensure documentation readiness

- Promote a strong safety & quality culture throughout the organisation
