SENIOR IT TECHNICIAN

JOB DESCRIPTION:

RedCat Recruitment is urgently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced SENIOR IT TECHNICIAN for a growing national IT solutions company, position based in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Grade 12.

Valid driver’s license / own reliable vehicle.

Relevant qualifications.

Duties will include technical skills as well as initiative in project management and product development.

Server OS and related services (Windows Server, AD, DNS, GP).

Cloud technologies (AZURE, AWS, Office 365 services, etc).

Infrastructure (server hardware, virtualization technologies).

Backup and recovery solutions and DR planning.

IT security (firewalls, EDR, software services and security policy).

Networking TCP / IP to Layer 3, design, and implementation.

Experience in managing and contributing technically to projects.

Voice (hosted PABX).

Microsoft Power platform.

Be able to work independently and within a team environment.

Person must be happy to work after hours when required.

Person must be happy to travel to clients when required.

Must be happy to work remotely and / or in an office environment.
