SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity to an international manufacturing company where you will provide support to the design process through the preparation of complete, accurate working plans, and scale drawings for complex projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION:


Utilize Revit to produce drawing details such as sheets for plotting, 3D modelling of piping products and basic templates, and coordinating drawing production in line with project requirements.             
Use software to create detailed 2D or 3D designs for complex projects               
Work in a collaborative manner with the respective project manager, pipe designer, and/or design manager to reduce cost installation through efficient layout and acceptable changes to contract drawings                  
Assist in development of departmental drafting and Revit standards                    
Maintain revision control on drawings and follow company standards for an organized system of maintaining files 
Must be motivated to keep current with new and emerging related technology                 
Working closely with the professionals and site technicians with the relevant site challenges: changes from site, site meetings and all site-related queries including problem-solving.              
Perform other related duties as requested by management.
 
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 2 - 3 years of Revit experience and AutoCAD experience - Additional Revit MEP experience will be advantageous
Experience in the construction industry/MEP - Plumbing specifically would be advantageous
Able to meet tight deadlines and able to work alone or with a team
Complex Problem Solving                     
Operations Analysis

Qualification:
Minimum of a draughting certificate
Matric completion is non-negotiable
 
Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
