Retail Development Manager

Summary:  Retail Development Manager vacancy available FCMG / Manufacturing company to develop and growth into the Independent Hardware Retail outlets.  The company does already have a substantial retail footprint with products being sold through Massmart, Cashbuild, Chamverlain, independent hardware retailers, etc.

This is a newly created role.

Description:  To be responsible for the growth and performance of all line sales through retail network / market.  Retail penetration, brand development and sales growth through the retail market.  Expand relationships with channel partners (chains, regional agents, merchandising service providers).

Details analysis of data and performance states (sales and channel stats, shelf space analysis, planograms, dispo’s, rate of sale, fill rates, etc).

Requirements:

• Further education in business management, sales or marketing essential.
• Strong analytical ability and data analysis skills.
• Strong MS Excel skills.
• Solid understanding of the retail (reseller market).
• Retail penetration strategy development / execution experience.
• “Big box” retail Key Account Management experience beneficial.
• Solid and demonstrable understanding of retail metrics and penetration strategies.
• Management ability and experience.
• Hardware and allied product industry experience beneficial.
• Social Media / marketing experience beneficial.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team player.
• High degree of professionalism and conduct at all times.
• Strong interpersonal skills (time management, assertiveness, and conflict resolution).
• Own vehicle.
• Figure and admin orientated,
• Organised and thorough.
• An excellent leader and business manager.
• Sales and profit driven, and an effective cost containment manager.
