POSITION INFO:

Job Title: Restaurant General Manager (RGM)

Location: Western Cape, City of Cape Town, Cape Town

Job Type: Permanent, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary: ZAR35000 - ZAR40000 Per month

Job Description:

Job Duties:

Oversee daily operations of the restaurant
Manage and lead a team of staff members
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures
Monitor financial performance and make adjustments as needed
Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as required
Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Required Qualifications:

Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
Strong leadership and management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work well under pressure

Education:

Degree or equivalent qualification in Hospitality Management or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years' experience in restaurant management

Knowledge and Skills:

Understanding of food and beverage operations
Proficiency in financial management
Knowledge of health and safety regulations

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Food Hygiene and Safety
Additional training in leadership or management

Working Conditions:

Fast-paced restaurant environment
Does require evening, weekend, and holiday work
Physical demands such as standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects
