Stellenbosch: Our client, a prestigious wine estate in the Cape Winelands, is seeking a professional, organised and energetic Events Coordinator to join their Banqueting & Events team. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone with a passion for hospitality who thrives in a fast-paced, refined environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional events and guest experiences.

POSITION INFO:
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To coordinate the planning and operational execution of weddings, functions and events, ensuring seamless service delivery, strong attention to detail and an exceptional experience for clients and guests.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO

• Coordinating the planning and operational execution of weddings, functions and events
• Conducting introductory venue site visits for clients when required
• Liaising professionally with clients, wedding coordinators, photographers and external service providers
• Managing event calendars, Dineplan bookings, client folders and function sheets
• Coordinating event logistics including venue setup, parking, transport, food and beverage, AV and breakdown
• Briefing service providers according to SOPs and event requirements
• Coordinating glassware deliveries and collections, ensuring quantities are accurate
• Conducting venue and operational checks before and after functions
• Ensuring cleaning, maintenance, setup and breakdown standards are consistently maintained
• Working closely with Banqueting, Restaurant, Maintenance and Cleaning teams to ensure seamless event execution
• Participating in weekly departmental meetings and ensuring upcoming event information is accurate and up to date

• Previous experience in events, weddings, banqueting or hospitality
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional, confident and client-focused
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multitask
• Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure
• Strong computer literacy and administrative skills
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends and public holidays when required
