POSITION INFO:

An industry leader in the alternative tobacco sector is seeking a proven Regional Sales Manager to own and drive sales performance across the Eastern Cape, including the Garden Route.

This is a demanding, high‑ownership regional role. The successful candidate must demonstrate past success leading dispersed teams, delivering results under pressure, and building territory strategies while remaining hands‑on in the field.

🔹 Key Focus Areas

• Own regional sales targets and revenue performance across retail, wholesale, forecourt, and independent trade

• Build and execute territory plans, prospect new accounts, and grow existing relationships

• Negotiate ranging, promotions, and trading execution with regional buyers (SPAR, Pick n Pay, Shoprite, forecourt groups)

• Drive disciplined in‑trade execution, availability, and share of shelf

• Lead, coach, and hold accountable a regional field sales team, reps, and merchandisers

• Produce accurate forecasts and reports, collaborating with Finance, Marketing, and Operations

🔹 Profile

• Minimum 7–10 years FMCG sales leadership, with at least 5 years at regional level

• Proven track record of revenue growth across multiple channels

• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills

• Demonstrated success leading large, dispersed teams under pressure

• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively across the region

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Sales, Business, or related field advantageous

• SA Citizens only

• Must be Criminal Clear

• Must reside in Port Elizabeth or East London or be willing to relocate at own cost
