Receptionist / Stock Administrator – Durban

SUMMARY:
Are you proficient in Excel and enjoy a front of house position, dealing with incoming calls, administration, and accurate stock data capturing?
 
Our very well-established client based near Essenwood, has a varied position, managing office processes and inventory data capturing. Must be efficient in calculations on Excel, entering and crediting of stock movements from various suppliers.
 
This position will be well suited to an individual who did well in Maths in school and has a high level of computer proficiency and accuracy.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS

• Matric certificate or equivalent secondary educational qualification
• Fluent in both Afrikaans and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Advanced computer literacy across standard software applications
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience using accounting software
• Reliable own transport and valid SA driver’s license
• Demonstrated experience in inventory control and stock management

• Handle incoming calls and respond to enquiries promptly
• Capture data and maintain accurate records of inventory and manufacturing transactions
• Ensure all stock movements are accurately recorded and processed on time, including entering and crediting stock in the accounting system from various suppliers
• Reconcile physical stock with accounting system balances by making necessary adjustments through journals
• Process incoming stock from various suppliers, preparing import quantities and costings using Excel
• Conduct regular cycle counts and full stock takes to maintain inventory accuracy
• Perform general administrative duties, including filing, answering phones and directing calls appropriately
• Prepare requisitions and manufacturing job cards
